Perfect Perfect Saturday

“Their whiskers intersect / like neighborly clotheslines / One lifetime / greeting the next”
Alli Tervo is a multidisciplinary poet, artivist, and body liberationist. Her poetry has been featured by GBH Media, exhibited at Boston City Hall, and published in Palette Poetry and the Yellow Arrow Journal. She believes that language is a radical method of love and healing, and hopes to forever remain inspired to capture the poetry of her life. She is abundantly grateful for the artists around her and their unceasing ability to inspire her within this elaborate, marvelous form. When she’s not writing, she can be found painting or seeing how sharp she can get her eyeliner wings.
“‘Perfect Perfect Saturday’ was inspired by my partner. In many ways, all of my poems are really about him—there is no corner of my life he hasn’t colored. I am abundantly lucky in love! I’m so excited to share that just before this publication, we got engaged. This piece—which I’ve dedicated to him—means all the more now. May your life and poetry be filled (even in small ways!) with love, too!” —Alli Tervo
