Laura Barbieri
Laura Barbieri is a poet, playwright, educator, and director based in Northeast Ohio. A graduate of the Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program at Kent State University with an emphasis in Playwriting, Laura’s scripts have been performed throughout the Midwest, including Chicago, Michigan, and Ohio. Pick Your Poison, her full-length audience-interactive murder mystery farce, is available for licensing through Stage Partners. Other productions include (among others): (Wo)Mansville, which was presented as part of the 2024 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival and in Kent State Trumbull’s 2023-2024 Sips & Scripts reading series, and a one-act version of her play We Call It Family, which was performed at the 2023 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival.
