Mackenzie Schubert is a Hungarian-American poet whose work has been published in Barrelhouse Magazine, Crab Creek Review, and The Hunger, among others. Mackenzie is a second year MFA Poetry candidate and Freshman Writing Seminar Instructor at Cornell University. She is currently working on her MFA Thesis Manuscript (Pharyngeal Cartography is included), which centers her grandmother’s flight from Hungary after the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, intergenerational trauma, multidimensionality of home, memory, and dementia.
