Ramsey Tawfick is a Coptic Egyptian-British poet and filmmaker based in London. His work has appeared in magazines like Engine Idling, Palette Poetry, and Sam Fifty-Four. This year, he has been shortlisted for the Rising Poetry Prize (Palette Poetry) and longlisted for the Leonard Cohen Prize (ONLYPOEMS). His poetry focuses on the Egyptian and Coptic-Christian diasporic identity. He loves to think through continuity, history, and language and has developed films and poetry focused on family histories and cultures.
